Anne-Rita Vleugel is an emerging contemporary artist based in Melbourne, creating expressive abstract paintings that explore colour, form and the interplay between spontaneity and structure.

Working primarily in oil and acrylic, she draws on a warm, earthy palette to create rich, organic compositions characterised by depth, gestural marks and fluid forms. Her practice explores the relationship between the visible and the underlying, inviting a sense of discovery as layers of colour, movement and texture reveal themselves.

In 2026, Anne-Rita held her solo exhibition Larapuna and has participated in a number of group exhibitions across Victoria.

She continues to develop new work from her Melbourne studio.
