INSIDE 40 - Group Exhibition
Welcome to ‘INSIDE 40’ — a showcase of artworks that prove small frames can hold big energy.
Every piece sits within 40 × 40 cm, inviting you to lean in and discover detail, texture, and bold ideas distilled into a perfect square.
This exhibition celebrates focus and play: sharp compositions, vibrant colour hits, intimate studies, and unexpected moments that reward a closer look. Constraint becomes creativity — forty centimetres becomes a whole world.

August:Group Exhibition
August - A still life group show
Celebrate ‘august’ this August, with eight contemporary Melbourne artists exploring the genre of ‘still life’.
Escape the winter chill with, ‘august’ - a warm, tactile reprieve into the world of contemporary still life. This exhibition brings together eight distinct artists who redefine this classic genre through paint and ceramics. The works on display move from loose, evocative abstract interpretations that play with color and form, all the way to poignant, hyper-real pieces.
Whether it’s a structural clay vessel mimicking everyday objects or a canvas alive with fluid brushstrokes, ‘august’ invites you to slow down and find the extraordinary in the ordinary.
Grab a coat, step inside, and visit a while with us this winter.
Join us for opening celebration drinks Saturday 8 August, 4 - 6pm at Mynt Gallery, 193 Canterbury Road, Canterbury.

Luminescence
A new exhibition is arriving at Mynt.
LUMINESCENCE
explores the many ways light emerges softly, suddenly, or through the friction of materials in motion.
It traces the shimmer before form, the pulse inside colour, and the radiance that appears in texture,
contrast, and the traces of making.
Expect works that glow gently or crackle with energy: layered, eclectic, tactile, and alive with possibility.
A contemporary mix of artists and mediums, each revealing transformation in their own luminous way.
Featuring works by B.Twomey, Cameron Forsyth, Dwayne Hutton, Jen Shewring, Lana Daubermann, Liz Fitzgerald, Pav Spencer, and Wendy Rennie.
Exhibition runs 21 February–1 March.
Mixed Media Still Life Workshop with Lana Daubermann
Join Lana for a relaxed morning of creative play, as we explore the genre of still life through collage, drawing, painting (water-based) and printmaking. Expect to go home with at least two finished works ready to frame, plus loads of experiments! All materials supplied, plus coffee and cake of course
$175 per person
Electric Botanic Exhibition - By B.Twomey
Opening 27th November through till 8th December. Come along and join us on Thursday 27th November 6-8pm on Opening Night. Together with existing stock at the gallery B will be bringing her new series "Electric Botanic".
Each piece captures a kind of visual electricity - a charge that exists where light, colour and emotion intersect. Like a jolt of seeing a garden in full bloom under summer glare or the quiet voltage of creative flow these paintings celebrate the way energy moves through living things - and through us.
B will also be booking appointments in the meeting room sunday 30th - Tuesday 2nd. Get in touch to book a commission meeting while she is in Melbourne. There will also be some exciting events and giveaways announced soon too
