Levana LaBelle is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bellbrae, Victoria who works within the liminal spaces found in nature. LaBelle reflects upon our ancestral connection to the mystical elements of nature through ritual, which is expressed within her works in the form of intuitive movement; much like a dance embodied in sacred practice. Inspired by the romanticist movement, LaBelle uses the juxtaposition between light and dark to reflect this liminality which so often describe the unseen forces of nature. Within her works is a tactility and emotional resonance that requires the viewer to be immersed within her landscapes and compels us to connect with nature’s sentience through a conscious relationship with the land..
